boy belt

the celebrate boy month at madebyrae that i spoke about in my previous post has produced some pretty great boy items.

but this one by elsie marley would have to be at the top of my list as O definitely has a tendency to loose his pants quite often. these belts are so cute and funky. i want one of each (for O of course not me).

shop {neiko designs)

accessories are always the finishing touch to an outfit. something as simple as a tee and jeans can look like so much more with the addition of a great bag. these by neiko designs are lovely.

and the styling in the photographs just tops it off for me.

so sew

i have had a sewing machine for many years and i am limited to making things in square or rectangles. i would really like to branch out into other shapes as well but have yet to find the patience to start a more complicated item such as clothing.

there are so many japanese pattern books for childrens clothes that look simple but who knows. this is definitely on my (long) list of things to do.

caravan of curiosities

free people clothing also has a blog named the caravan of curiosities.

the fp girls, as they call themselves, post about art, culture and fashion. the blog design itself is so nicely done but they have some great posts as well as updates about the store.

shop {timberps}

the timber preservation society etsy store. i just cant get enough of the graphics on these tees. and thought M would look great wearing these so i grabbed a few for him awhile back.
as you can imagine its not just the imagery that i am fascinated by it is the meaning behind it. some of the graphics include big foot moving out of the forest, lumberjacks and bearded men. the website also has additional info about art shows and events.

i wish they made them in teeny tiny sizes because O would look pretty cute hanging out in them too.

shop {yes style}

the star mimi brand on the yes style website has simple natural clothes that are so cute and inexpensive. plus they offer free shipping to most places on orders over $150.

i love the styling, layers and well just about everything. any combination of the clothes would look great together or separate but  i do have a fondness for layers - that may have something to do with the weather up here in Canada. However these layers look light and easy to wear so are just the thing for when the weather does turn sunny.

shop {wooly baby}

along with my personal need for good style so course i search for the same for little O. I came across such a cute etsy site that i cant resist sharing.

the slippers or booties are made from recycled sweaters so very limited editions are made. these are just so sweet. i want a pair for me too.

shop {ruche}

i came across a new shop via sams notebook. she has lots of great finds on her site and she is also an aussie (living in sweden).

but back to ruche and the fabulous and affordable clothes that they offer. thats right... affordable (dresses from $38USD).

the online boutique is obviously inspired by vintage style, they carry a line of handmade and eco friendly accessories and clothing. all so pretty.

shop {forestbound}

i ve had my eye on these unique bags and minipurses from forestbound for quite sometime and would seem to be the perfect accessory for every occassion. they blend pretty and rustic - my favorite combination - are just so sweet.

the collect and carry pouches are just the thing for wandering in the forest and collecting tiny treasures of nature along the way.

shop {hende}

it was time to replenish my spring/summer wardrobe so i purchased a few items from another great etsy shop hende. but it ended up with the unearthing of much more.

the name hende is derived from hände, the german word for "hands." in middle english hende also meant "noble, graceful, clever and beautiful." how perfect!

shop owner/ designer holly wren spaulding is also a writer & community activist which i discovered after the fact. her book of poetry is also available for sale on her etsy site. so along with all the beautiful things she creates she is also concerned with conserving what exists. in her profile she states "I think I want to defend and preserve what already Is or deserves to Be--trees, quiet, clean water, justice, the dark night sky, human dignity, topsoil, green growing things and the time to enjoy all of it". i can tell just from that statement that her poetry would be just as inspiring.

and lastly she has a shop for wee ones that i would be sure to purchase from if my little one wasnt get so big.
